My friend Jennifer Jewell—author of the hugely successful The Earth in Her Hands: 75 Extraordinary Women Working in the World of Plants and the creator/host of the Cultivating Place podcast—has a new book out...

...and she's coming to town! Jennifer will be at Powell's Books Cedar Hills this Thursday October 19th to discuss her new book What We Sow, and guess what? I get to be the one in conversation with her!

Seriously. How lucky am I? This is going to be so much fun. If you're local please join us. There will be seedy talk, there will be books for sale. If you were in the audience when Jennifer spoke to the Hardy Plant Society of Oregon (who is co-sponsoring this event) back in January of 2020 you know just want a great communicator and ambassador for gardening she is.

If you can't make this event I encourage you to seek out her book, it's really good. Curious? I'm linking to a story on Jennifer and her book from the New York Times: A Quest Inspired by the Pandemic Seed Shortage and a ‘Primal Fear’. I've "gifted" it so you shouldn't have any issues with the paywall.
