So I'm now officially blurring the edges of my vacation posts. I'm moving on to our most recent SoCal Christmas vacation without first finishing the 2014 version...ah well...it's all good...(right?)
Since I was just within a couple miles of Potted I had to stop in for a quick look-see.
That's kind of cool...
Like a super fancy CMU planter.
Kalanchoe beharensis - Velvet Elephant Ear (I think)...
Horrid picture but these were very cool grated cactus, an excellent dark mahogany color.
I bought this one.
I love the metal container stands...
Not so in-love with the terracotta though.
Once inside I was distracted by the fact Annette was working and got to chatting with her and kind of forgot to take more photos...
Well except for one of the octo-planters...
And the Bauer planters (of course). Oh and guess what...(exciting news!) Annette is writing a book for Timber Press (due out spring of 2017), with the queen of "indoor style for outdoor living" you just know it's gonna be good...
But as the title says...after leaving Potted I drove around the corner, where I discovered this fun planting.
Of course the Agaves in the hell-strip are what I first noticed. But then my eye drifted to the Acacia cultriformis in their cages...
All five of them...
Must grow up straight and tall!
Oh but those Agaves...
Stripes!
And jagged claws...
