Are you expecting me to say that means summer is over? Nope! We still have over two weeks of summer left (16 days), and that's just "real" calendar summer. Throw in El Nino and/or an Indian Summer and I'll be happy for weeks.
Still, seeing this stock tank planter that I've been watching, and photographing, for years had me thinking of all those people who are completely over summer in the PNW and can't wait for Autumn. Most of these plants look like they're feeling the same way.
Book-ended are a Hesperaloe parviflora and Opuntia NOID that haven't missed a beat, and actually thrived, in our hot and dry summer. I feel the same and wish summer could go on forever...
