The Planthunter, do you read it?

The Planthunter is..."an online magazine devoted to celebrating plants and the varied ways humans interact with them"

As with most of my obscure internet obsessions I'm not quite sure how I found them, however I'm always thrilled to see their newsletter in my inbox..."content at The Planthunter is organised around monthly issues, each with a different content theme (Check out some of our past issues here). Each week we publish around 3-5 stories relating to the issue theme, and every Wednesday we send out an email newsletter."

Past issue themes (which you'll see if you click on that link above, or here) include: The ROAD TRIP Issue, The CRAFT Issue, The DECAY Issue, The SCENT Issue, The MEDICINE Issue and The DESIGN Issue.

It's the "July 2015 | Road Trip | Week 3" newsletter that finally has me writing about them (Week 4 just hit my inbox and I haven't yet had a chance to read it!). The story Interview: Ralph Durr has me feeling right there with Alina Golovachenko as she chats with Ralph, who is quite the character. Her photos are dreamy...

Then there's Georgie Hawke's visit to Jardín Etnobotánico de Oaxaca, a place I hope to visit, someday (photo Georgie Hawke from The Planthunter)...

The stories shared on The Planthunter aren't terribly long. They're more like those brief conversations that keep you thinking for awhile. So are you interested? Sign up here.
