I cannot imagine being in the Los Angeles area and not visiting Potted, luckily we had time to eke out a quick visit. We parked on the street, in front of the shop and under this huge Ceiba (Chorisia) speciosa...
Andrew spotted the birds right away, but it look me longer, they were so well camouflaged with the fruits...
Love those spikes.
Okay, time to shop!
Since our visit was just 3 days before Christmas there were apologies from the staff that things were so picked over. Evidently lots of lucky gardeners were going to be getting gifts from Potted for Christmas...
Euphorbia clandestina
Sonchus canariensis
You saw the City Planter in white in Denise's garden, here's the rust version...along with an Orbit Planter.
I've never been tempted to add an outdoor carpet to my patio, however if I were to do so these colors would be perfect!
The baby's head planter has become almost passé, add a couple of glass "daggers" and it's all new again.
Have I mentioned how much I enjoyed the sunshine and warmth on this trip? This photo brings it all back to me.
And this photo was included to remind myself to look into a plumbing pipe hanging structure for cool containers. There's an idea at work here...
Love how they're displayed.
I spy a Hover Dish Planter!
Now we're inside their recently expanded, and 10 year old, shop...
I'm stealing this idea! Heavy duty gift wrap (or wallpaper?) used as a table runner. They sold rolls of this, had we been driving, and not flying, I might have grabbed one.
Would it be odd for someone who has no kids to buy this? I've loved it ever since I saw it on YHL.
Oh yes! The top one is the larger version of a note card I bought at Flora Grubb last fall (and later framed). I love the bottom one too, even though I have no idea what it's supposed to be (aloe flowers with a euphorbia?)...
For being "picked over" there is still an amazing amount of good stuff here!
Love both of those prints too (on the left), and the Jack Planter, and the Bauer Biltmore, and the, and the, and the...(I could go on and on).
So what did I buy? Nothing.
Why? Because before we left on our trip I got to open my Christmas gifts, from Andrew, and he'd shopped at Potted (online). I am now the proud owner of a chartreuse Circle Pot. It's hanging out on our mantle for now...
And a pair of tea towels from Skinny laMinx.
It was a very Potted Christmas...
