I do not recall ever laying eyes on this beauty. What attracted me was the fact it looks much less hardy than the Zone 3 temperatures it's said to be hardy to, and it's evergreen!
Reading the description on the back of the plant label I admit I got a laugh out of its recommended planting companions. How could I not buy one, or two?
The fact the photo on the label and nearly every photo online features the flowers over the foliage does concern me. Since I brought home a pair we'll see how they hold up long term. If the flowers actually cover the foliage they may just get cut off, or thinned...
