Have you ever set out with the express purpose of taking an "awe walk"? I can't say I've ever used that term, but every walk I take is one.
I didn't realize everyone didn't do this, or then again maybe I did. Andrew walks to walk. I call his walks marches...because nothing distracts him from walking. Whereas when I walk it's all about seeing what there is to see, even if it means slowing down and stopping to take a photo or two.
I always felt a little guilty, like my stopping to smell the roses photograph the pumpkins was somehow less than his marching. But according to the New York Times my awe walks might be even more healthy...read all about it here.
