My trips to Seattle for the Northwest Flower & Garden Festival usually involve an afternoon spent out exploring an area nursery or garden. Back in 2017, while at Swansons Nursery, I discovered a interesting tree fern grown only in a saucer, no pot (photos here). I was surprised to see it was still around when I visited on February 28th.
Kinda cool right? No wonder the tree fern (Dicksonia antarctica) I have had growing in the same container for, uhm, 10 years doesn't seem to mind.
I thought I would also revisit a couple of their shady "fern tables"...although looking at my old photos I think perhaps both of these are newish creations.
Fun stuff!
