I return to Potted, L.A.'s "indoor style for outdoor living" shop...

While in the L.A. area and on my way to the Huntington Gardens, my car magically took a little side trip to Potted; home of the circle pot and inspiration for the book Potted by the shop's owners Annette Gutierrez and Mary Gray.

The day was December 21st and there were lots of shoppers mingling about inside, not so many outside though, in the "cold" (it's all relative, I thought it was lovely).

Color! (pow)

And plants, of course there were plants.

I need one of these dark sansevieria, perhaps I can find one at the Portland Nursery houseplant sale (starts today!, January 16th)

This beauty was what almost came home with me, Orthophytum magalhaesii.

They were only $18, but the leaves were so rigid I was afraid I would break them trying to smash it into my luggage.

Onward...

Love this guy, he was an aphid magnet in my garden though.

Hmm, also love those little guys with the dark leaves, in the center.

As I mentioned there were a lot of people inside the shop. I managed to grab a couple of shots without crowding anyone, or making them nervous.

I ended up leaving without purchasing anything. It was the first day of our week-long vacation and I knew there were be plenty of opportunities to buy other things that wouldn't fit in my carry-on bag.
