The will to reproduce is strong, and I'm not talking about humans, but plants (I'll leave the subject of human reproduction for some other blog). I find it especially fabulous when an agave shoots a pup out through the drainage hole of its container, like this Agave lophantha 'Splendida' has done.

I spotted this guy at the HPSO Fall PlantFest and then watched as a young couple debated the purchase. I was thrilled when they decided to take it home. I hope they're careful removing that little pup.
