The garden was so different then! I thought it would be interesting to compare mornings in August, so here's the photo from August 15th, 2011. The rhododendron on the left was threatening to take over, the bishops weed was still going strong, and oh my, the Ophiopogon planiscapus 'Nigrescens' (black mondo) looked so healthy!

Here's the same shot, taken last Wednesday, Aug 7th. Things look a little golden, but on the upside I'd only just broken down and watered, for the first time all year!
