I think I'm going to try something new. On the days that I don't plan to publish a regular—yes, sometimes lengthy—blog post I'll just share a random photo. I have so many! Today's photo, a deep red Anigozanthos.
Sometimes I'll include a random tidbit with the photo, sometimes not.
Today I have a random tidbit for you. From the Wiki page on anigozanthos: "Research has been conducted that indicates the spores from the plant could regenerate and reactive skin firmness as it targets the young cells at the source with increased collagen output." I clicked on the citation for that interesting possibility and was taken to another site, The Day Salon: "KANGAROO FLOWER. Who knew that was a thing? Not me. But I liked the sound of them. Actually the full name is kangaroo paw flower, they come from (brace yourselves for the big reveal) Australia, and they can’t get enough of them in California. Or Japan. Or at Clarins, as it turns out, because the exotic, deep-red blooms are a key ingredient in their new, Extra-Firming Day and Night Creams."
I wonder if just rubbing a flower around your face would have any effect? I haven't bought one yet this year, I guess now I have to, in the name of science...
