There are these places and things I drive by every 5 weeks or so on the way home from getting my hair cut. Last week I finally stopped to take pictures, so I could share them with you.
These metal pipes (sewer?) were cut and placed at the corner of this large lot, I assume to be planted up.
I love them, I covet them.
I can't wait to see what they plant in them. Of course I'm hoping for Agaves (like in Renee's pipes) but I'm not holding my breath for that.
Parking the car and venturing out to take photos allowed me to see this interesting hunk of metal further up the street, in their hellstrip. What the heck?
I'm very curious what this will end up as.
There was another, smaller, life-saver shaped thing too.
Luckily I will be able to keep an eye on what develops here.
Just down the street, these partial fence pieces have been up for years. At first I thought they were only the beginning and something would soon fill the voids, but no. This is it.
The inside view...
Perhaps it's arty blocking of their windows as seen from the neighbor's houses? That's the best I can dream up. What do you think?
Finally, this portal in a rock wall is on a very busy street. I've never seen the metal gate ajar, but I do watch all manner of debris build up behind it. I realized after taking this photo from my car window that I have no idea what the house above looks like. Have I never looked up? Or can you not see the house from the street? That's a question I hope to answer on the way back from my next haircut.
