Balancing Cactus: file this under silly fun

Back in 2015 I spotted this balancing cactus game at Potted, in Los Angeles. I was mildly enamored (after all I did take a photo of it, which I included in my blog post), but at over $25 it seemed like a silly thing for two adults to purchase.

So of course when I saw a smaller, cheaper, version at Powells — and we had a nice balance on our store-credit account (sell back books...get credit to spend) — well it had to become mine.

And with an appropriate age range like that, how could I say no?

Plus look at all these skillz I'm working on! Logic, fine motor, coordination and concentration...

I think this is going to live right next to the desk I work at. It seems like the perfect distraction while taking part in a conference call that stretches on and on...
