Pomarius Nursery, it's not just for summer!

It's been over a year since I shared pictures of the magical place known as Pomarius. I called that post "even more beautiful than before" and it truly was. But they've done it again. How can a place that has always been fabulous just keep getting better and better? Just for fun I went back through my archives to find images from my first visit in 2009, I remember how blown away I was then. But now...

All of this in November! (granted it's been a warm month)...

I believe these are Anemone × hybrida ‘Honorine Jobert’? I need to plant a few, if only to see their green centers left on the stems after the petals have fallen.  Why didn't I buy one???

Want! Really really....really!

Aren't they fabulous?

There was a pair, and I coveted them.

The pavers and defined "room-like" spaces were new to me this visit. I think they're very successful.

Agave tequilana and a great contrast from the Albizia julibrissin ‘Summer Chocolate’.

Let's just enjoy the eye candy for a bit, shall we?...

The landowner has built several new buildings along the railroad tracks, and there are more in the works. One of them will include indoor space for Pomarius (yay!).

How smart is this? Much better than a rigid black plastic pot.

A benefit to the expanded nursery space in-between the buildings? Room to display clearance plants without having them mixed in with the general inventory.

I'm not sure which I love more, the main plant or the babies.

Speaking of babies! Peter's dogs were out and about, how cute are these faces!?

I wish I could remember their names. I am so bad with names...

And more Agaves, so many agaves...

That greenhouse has a lot to do with the title of this post. It holds fabulous holiday decorations as well as tender plants. We'll get there in a minute.

I was so excited to see these Wavy Cloak ferns! ((Cheilanthes sinuata / Astrolepis sinuata) I bought one at a different nursery last year and have been wishing for more ever since. I bought a pair.

This Camellia ('yuletide' I believe) screams Christmas to me...

These little darlings live in the greenhouse.

As do these!

How much did I love these little bottle-brush Christmas trees? So very much!

I bought the tall chartreuse one, a medium size brown one and a small yellow one. So excited about them!

I also bought this great planter.

And I'm motivated to make some sort of mossy wreath, I loved this one! Thanks for another inspiring visit Peter, Wes, and all the fine folks at Pomarius...you guys are amazing!
