Last year was the first time I visited Lan Su for Mum-vember. It was such a lovely day in the garden that I decided to do it again this year. Actual visit took place on Friday November 4th...
Since they're an autumn flower I prefer my mums in shades of yellow to orange. However the light was hitting the pinks and purples in such a way they begged to be appreciated.
I obliged.
What would you call this color? Dusty mauve? (ugh!)
Now we're getting into my preferred palette...
Am I the only one that sees little fists punching the light?
Such a wonderful morning spent strolling the garden.
A quick stop at the supermarket on the way home and what do I see? More mums.
Of course I had to purchase this coppery yellow bunch.
On to the mantle they went, accompanied by a yellowed Tetrapanax leaf , a few leaves from the Magnolia macrophylla, and bloom-spikes from my Mahonia x media 'Charity' .
Everyone should celebrate Mum-vember! We all need a little extra happiness right now...
